Expired Major Zia (20/1110) has died in a plane crash in Congo on 4 April 2011. He was in UN Peace Mission. The Bangladesh peacekeeper Major KM Ziaul Haque and Corporal Yunus Mia, who were posted in Ban-6 unit of UN peace keeping mission in Congo a UN chartered aircraft carrying the peacekeepers lost control in high winds and heavy rainfall as it was going to Kinshasa airport from Goma city.
