With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our respected alumnus and fraternity brother, Prof. Dr Nazrul Islam (C/19), a proud member of the pioneer 1st Intake of Jhenaidah Cadet College. He breathed his last this morning at approximately 9:30 AM on 4th Sep 2026 at Evercare Hospital, Dhaka.



Dr Nazrul Islam was a distinguished scholar and educator. After completing his PhD at the Peoples' Friendship University (PFU) in Moscow, he went on to serve as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and retired from there as a Professor touching the lives of generations of students and colleagues.



His dedication to academia, warm demeanour, and lifelong cadet spirit will always be remembered. His spontaneous participation in 'College Day' celebration at JCC in 2025 was heart warming.



We extend our heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family and loved ones during this difficult time. May the Almighty grant him Jannat-ul-Firdaus and give his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
